After Friday’s presidential debate, new attack videos

2008-09-29 by Jessica

Who won last Friday’s presidential debate at the University of Mississippi? If you’re like me, you’re curious what the political pundits have to say about it. Since the answer was so clear to me, I was surprised to read that the powers that be at the news stations have decided that there was no clear winner.

McCain himself has said that if the media is calling it a tie, that means he’s won. I’m not sure what logic class he took back in college, but obviously not the same one as me. It also seems that he’s taken a class in fortune-telling because hours before even agreeing to show up, his campaign had already published an online photo of the Republican candidate with the words, “McCain Wins Debate.”

Curiously enough, McCain campaign manager Rick Davis has announced that “McCain won the debate– hands down.” However, polls show that since the two candidates went head to head, Obama has actually widened his lead in the presidential race. If that’s hands down winning, I think I’d prefer being on the losing team!

As the post-debate debate continues, I thought you might like to see the new videos each candidate has made attacking the other’s Friday night performance. The McCain camp is accusing Obama of not being ready to lead because he used the polite phrase “McCain is right about…”. Again, I guess McCain and I took different leadership workshops because I always thought that leading included working with people and not stubbornly disagreeing with them for the sake of it. The Obama camp is attacking McCain for NOT ONCE using the phrase “middle class” during Friday’s televised debate.

First off, McCain’s new video:

And now Obama’s:

So, politics aside, who do you think won? Or did they both leave with only minor bumps and bruises? Did either one change your mind about who you’ll vote for come November 4th?
