Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: New Trailer

2008-10-27 by Cordula

Inveterate Harry Potter fans know that the new movie will only come to cinemas on July 17 next year. Warner Bros make sure that we don’t forget that. Here’s the brand new movie trailer:

A Disney Special: Sarah Palin

2008-10-17 by Jessica

A few weeks ago, I wrote about how I thought this whole Sarah Palin nomination had an eerie “Legally Brunette: Sarah for Vice President” feel to it (read article here). I also put up a clip of Matt Damon saying he thought the whole Sarah Palin craze was like a really bad Disney movie.

Well, someone was inspired by Matt Damon’s words and made a little trailor to show us what a Sarah Palin Disney movie would be like. Check it out:

What do you think? So true or a complete exageration?

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince: Movie Launch Postponed

2008-08-25 by Cordula

Fans of Harry Potter books and films had been eagerly awaiting November 2008. Why? Because the launch of the movie “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” (the screen adaptation of the sixth and second-to-last book in the Harry Potter series) was announced for November 21st. However, the release date for the film has now been pushed back to July 17, 2009.

The official reason for this is the 2007–2008 Writers Guild of America strike which lasted over 3 months and caused production delays. However, rumor has it that releasing the movie next summer will lead to much higher revenues. And this in view of the fact that the first Harry Potter movies have already generated $4.4 billion!

Luckily the trailer is already out, so you can at least catch a glimpse of what is in store for July of next year. And why not read the books again in the meantime?

Seesmic and Indiana Jones at Cannes film Festival

2008-05-22 by Guillaume

Hello guys, here we are!! Today is the official release date of Indiana Jones 4: the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.

But as you may know, at BuzzParadise we always have our “entries” to special VIP events and previews. Hence, although I myself wasn’t able to go some of my friends were amongst the happy few who saw the world premiere of the movie last Sunday, during the Cannes film festival. Don’t worry, I will NOT tell you anything about the fourth adventure of our whip-wielding hero. You’ll have to find out by going to the cinema yourself.

What I want to highlight today is a new way of communicating with people around the world, introducing the great micro-blogging video platform: Seesmic.

Seesmic could be described as a twitter application, using videos instead of the 140 characters. If you don’t know what Twitter is, well … it’s a shame! Maybe I will tell you more about this fantastic application soon.

Where is the point? Well, you’ll see by scouting the web’s wilds that the founder of Seesmic, our friend Loïc Le Meur, has always been good at catching celebrities. But this week, he was at his best: he managed to make the entire Indiana Jones crew show up at Seesmic! Harrison Ford, Steven Spielberg and even George Lucas accepted to answer a few questions.

Seesmic still is a private beta-version, but I’m sure it will be a huge success in the near future. The Cannes film festival ends in two days, maybe then we’ll have the pleasure to see other celebrities on Seesmic!

The Sunday Night Box Office

2008-05-02 by Guillaume

I don’t know about you, but my Sunday nights always look the same: it’s the Box Office Party. I really enjoy watching a good blockbuster on my 40” Full HD wide screen. :D

Okay, it’s not the same as a ticket for the cinema: I will definitely prefer to watch the next Indiana Jones comfortably seated in our cute local theater, on May 22nd!

Meanwhile, I’ve already chosen my “treasure and pirates” movie for Sunday: Fool’s Gold. I somehow came across the trailer, and liked it. See for yourself:

I admit it’s not exactly Shakespeare but it is directed by Andy Tennant (”Hitch”) and features gorgeous Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey, two of my favorite actors. Treasure hunting, pirates, the Caribbean, a bit of sex and guns, everything you need for a good Sunday night, isn’t it?

Did any of you guys already see it? Well, if so, let me know if you thought it was good, but please don’t tell me the end! :)
