Obama’s Legonauguration!

2009-01-19 by Jessica

I never cease to be amazed by what people are able to create with Legos. How can something as simple as Legos tell such a story or provide such detail? I am in awe each and every time I enter the Mall of America’s Lego Store and see all the giant creations the store has put together, often themed to the season.

California’s LegoLand has not disappointed with its January themed display: Obama’s inauguration! Check it out here…and let’s see how it compares to the real inauguration tomorrow!

The History Of Mankind Told By Lego

2008-08-29 by Cordula

I stumbled across this beautifully made film on Roland’s blog this week. It tells the story of mankind, without using a single human actor: the film is made entirely out of Lego. It’s all there, starting with the Neanderthals and going from the pyramids and medieval feasts to Luther and his theses, Newton and his apple, to assembly lines, modern warfare and the launch of the first spaceship. Enjoy the movie!
