Valkyrie premiere in New York

Tom Cruise’s latest film, Valkyrie, had its world premiere in New York last Monday. The movie depicts the true story of the July 20, 1944 attempt to assassinate Hitler. Claus Count Schenk von Stauffenberg (played by Tom Cruise) is a German hero known for organizing, from withing the German military, an assassination attempt against Hitler. Originally critics were skeptical of a Hollywood WWII movie that didn’t include US soldiers, told a story not very well-known internationally, and that starred Tom Cruise. However, since its premiere on Monday, the movie seems to have gotten much better than expected reviews.
