Culture-buzz.com has a new design

2008-03-20 by Cordula

Tada! We have really good news today! And they look like this:

Culture-Buzz.com

Allow us to proudly present the blog of our mother company Vanksen | Culture-Buzz in its new, beautiful design. After having faithfully served us for several years and having been translated into two other languages (now it’s available in English, French and German), it was time to revamp our site and put it into a new costume. After long deliberations and creative sessions, our designers came up with this stunningly simple and elegant solution. Although we know straight from the horse’s mouth that there are some people who will miss its limegreen predecessor, we all agree that the new design is just beautiful. Check out the content now at www.culture-buzz.com!

PS: Our creative team also thought of a funny animation to make waiting for the new site to load less tiresome:

The New Citroën C5 - Unmistakeably German

2008-03-11 by Cordula

Or: if you can’t beat them, join them…

Last week Acia from our Luxemburgish team went to Geneva for the 78th International Motor Show, where Citroën had invited BuzzParadise bloggers to test the new Citroën C5. You may guess that they thoroughly enjoyed this adventure… and you have guessed right, they did!

Talking about Citroën, THE French car producer, here’s an interesting TV ad for the new C5 we spotted on the web – an advert which definitely needs to be taken with a huge grain of salt (a whole shaker if you’re German, the special sense of humour included). It probably appeals to every fibre in the Englishman’s soul that detests (and at the same time secretly admires) the Germans. And it will just as probably send a little shiver down the spines of those who are a bit more familiar with German culture (like me). See for yourself what happens when French cars are equipped with “German” attributes to boost sales figures…

And if you wonder why on Earth someone came up with this spot, here’s the explanation (which is by the way also useful to watch if you want to know what Christina Aguilera sounds like when drunk):

Now we know why this French car is really German and only safe for use in the UK if you don’t have an accident. Two (no, three) questions remains however: why go all the way to Portugal to find this out? And doesn’t this go a bit too far? I would have thought that these stereotypes were slightly outdated by now… wouldn’t fat beer drinking Bavarians in funny attire have done the trick?
