Results of the first BuzzRace
2007-06-06 by AurélieFrench bloggers competed with each other for the BuzzRace, a challenge launched by François alias MrBoo to promote his service called Hellotipi.
The idea is original and really buzzy: each participant, identified by a number, received an extract of HTML code that he had to adopt in an article or on his blog. This done, he just had to ask his network to stick the short illustration on a lot of blogs. The winner of the race was the blogger who managed to generate most billstickings in 20 days.
This unheard of wild race took place from the 17th of May until the 5th of June and was organized to promote the service Hellotipi, a social online network destined for families and launched by MrBoo. Around 35 bloggers throughout France and Belgium, the majority of whom are members of BuzzParadise, were spellbound.
A few examples: Loïc Le Meur, Journal du Geek, Webdeux.info or Chauffeurdebuzz.

The final ranking is quite surprising, some bloggers ranked really unexpected: Henri Labarre, better known under the name of his weblog 2803.com won bronze; Eric Dupin from Presse-Citron came second and Gonzague Dambricourt, who only joined the blogosphere six months ago, won the gold medal! A pride for BuzzParadise, because Gonzague has now joined our team!
The conclusion: having a big blog does not necessarily mean that you have most influence as well!
