Googled out? Any suggestions?
2008-07-23 by LuciaIt’s hard to look up info online because you’re often given a myriad of options that really have nothing to do with what you are looking for. It’s like going shopping, at least for me. I get to the store and if there is too much to look at, I don’t even get thtrough the door, I turn around and walk (or run) out. I just don’t feel like spending all that time swimming through the options to then end up not finding what I need. The same applies to things like Googling. So many choices, but so little patience and it’s far too time-consuming. So its nice to see things like inSuggest pop up. inSuggest helps you find exactly what you’re looking for by providing, as the name suggests, suggestions.
It’s like Google, but more personalized. You can search in different languages and tell it what you already use so it can help you find what you’re looking for by suggesting sites or images that users with similar profiles liked. Since I do some work in translation, I am always on the lookout for good online dictionaries. So it was comforting to find so many useful, relevant suggestions instead of coming up with a random list of sites. I came across so many sites that surely have come out in previous Google searches I’ve done, but because I haven’t had time to look through thousands of Google search page results, I hadn’t yet found them.
