Good news for all the fans of the world’s most famous secret agent: as of a few days ago, on several different websites, you are able to watch the teaser trailer of the new James Bond film, “Quantum of Solace“. As expected, it’s violent, dark, fast, and spectacular. Those who saw and liked “Casino Royal” will be satisfied.

But I’m sure other readers will agree that the adventures of this human superhero stick to the tried and true. Be on the lookout for:
- beautiful girls
- big muscles
- nice cars
- lots and lots of guns & many bad guys killed

It reminds me of the bread and butter for creating a good buzz. If you really think about it, you notice that each James Bond movie creates a huge amount of buzz. Men are always waiting to see which actress/model will run on the beach with her breasts bouncing up and down at sunset.  Girls, on the other hand, are interesting in seeing whether Daniel Craig will have even bigger pecs than last time.

These days it seems that the trend is for violent films like the Bourne Trilogy, Crank, Shoot ‘Em up, Kill Bill.

James Bond is exactly what people expect and that’s why they still go to see the movies. And go, they do: Casino Royal generated $635,563,460 revenue, with a cost of $150,000,000. The latest film’s cost was $230,000,000. Let’s wait and see if the newest film will be as successful as the others.
When you think about it, it’s crazy that they still manage to get us to theatre to pay 10 bucks just to see a film.  And one from a series that started out in 1962 (Dr No) no less!  Quite a feat!

I do want to see the movie one day, but I think I’ll wait for the DVD (that’s right, I don’t download!)
