- How old are you?
22.

- Where do you come from?
Singapore.

- What do you do?
I’m a working holidaymaker in the UK (basically it means I work part-time jobs to support my holiday here).

- When did you start blogging?
Sometime in the last quarter of 2006.

- Why did you start blogging? What does blogging give you in daily life?
I was inspired by other fashion/style blogs such as Style Bytes & Style Bubble. At the same time, I wanted to challenge myself to wear something different everyday as part of my blog posts. Blogging is an avenue for me to put out my ideas and thoughts on fashion & style to like-minded people who want to discuss. In real life, it might be a bit too intense for my friends and family.

- Do you remember your first blog post?
It was the day I got my working holiday visa to come to the UK and I made a standard introductory post which no one commented on.

- Are you rather a «twitter» or a «powncer»?

I seriously have no idea what both are. How embarrassing!

- Twitter, Facebook, blogs, buzz, web 2.0… What do you think of all this? How do you see the evolution of the web?
I use Facebook despite thinking that it is a complete waste of time with all the various applications, but it does allow me to catch up with old friends. I do like the Polyvore bit though, such a great way for people to play with outfit combinations. As for the evolution of the web, I think that it will keep on broadening the minds of people from all over the world and more and more people will start to make connections overseas and find a sense of belonging from just where they are sitting. It is a good thing as everyone needs that kind of comfort sometimes.

What if you were…

- An animal? Kitten.
- A color? Silver. I’m like a magpie and am drawn to sparkly things and it is my favourite colour after all…
- A place? New York.
- A season? Autumn.
- A musical instrument? Drums.
- A meal? Laksa. It’s considered one of Singapore’s national dishes (we have so many!) and it’s basically a coconut milk based curry noodle soup with shrimps, tofu puffs and fish sticks. I could eat that everyday for the rest of my life, so I reckon I could be it.
- A song? Charlotte Sometimes by The Cure. I’d like to be the girl in the story. The song is actually based on a children’s book of the same title by Penelope Farmer.
- A proverb? “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” My boyfriend lives by that and somehow it has crept into my life too.
