While the BuzzParadise community is growing, we have been thinking that it is about time to spotlight one of our BuzzAngels every month. Not to establish a ranking, just to present our (subjective) favourite blogger of the month.
After long deliberations we have chosen Alyse Wax of Sporkfashion.com to be the “Trendy BuzzAngel” of the month. Each month, we will announce our favorite blogger in preview in our newsletter and deliver the entire interview on our blog.

- What do you do?
Besides writing, I am a TV producer. Some of my credits include “Big Brother,” “Hell’s Kitchen,” and “Penn & Teller: Off the Deep End.”
- When did you start blogging?
Off and on for years with personal sites, but with SporkFashion.com, since May 2006.
- Why did you start blogging? What does blogging give you in daily life?
I started blogging to show off my fabulous shopping purchases. It slowly evolved to what it is today: getting the word out about lesser-known designers. I love fashion and I love to write, so it seemed a natural life choice.
- Do you remember your first blog post?
Yes. It was about my brand new Marc Jacobs mouse shoes. I was obsessed with them for weeks, but they didn’t have my size. My husband convinced me to ask one more time, and they had them! He dropped down his credit card on the spot, just to shut me up!
- Are you rather a «twitter» or a «powncer»?
Twitter, though I rarely use it.
- Twitter, Facebook, blogs, buzz, web 2.0… What do you think of all this? How do you see the evolution of the web?
The web is more important than TV and print put together. I think it is great, especially for info-junkies like myself. I have way too much fun on the internet - I am online so much I had to get an iPhone to check my emails constantly. Though I am old-fashioned at heart - I will never get tired of an “old fashioned” bound book.
