2008-03-31 by Vicky dans Campaigns

For the launch of the new Britney Spears perfumeI believe” by Elizabeth Arden, 20 lucky European bloggers from the UK, Sweden, Italy and Spain were invited to participate in a word-of-mouth campaign.

For the occasion the bloggers received a beautiful BuzzKit consisting of the perfume, a body lotion, a badge and Britney’s latest album “Black Out“. Check it out:

I Believe In Britney” was created for all of us to share our support for Britney. We, like millions of others, understand how difficult it must be to live in the spotlight 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We all go through difficult times sometimes, however, unlike Britney, our issues are resolved privately.

Her fans from all over the world can share their personal reasons why they believe in Britney. This site has been created as a place for people to meet other strong Britney fans. So far more than 44.000 internet users have already showed their support for the pop singer and left a mark on the map of the world.

Don’t hesitate to leave your mark, too!

Spring ist finally here! And maybe you have already wondered why you did not receive our March newsletter? Easy question, easy answer: because there wasn’t one. From now on we are going to send you the newsletter at the very beginning of each month!

This month’s trendy BuzzAngel is called Amber. She comes from Scotland and blogs on thefashionpolice.net.

Amber is speaking

- How old are you?
A lady never tells.

- Where do you com from?
Scotland.

- What do you do?
I’m a full time professional blogger, with the odd bit of freelance journalism on the side. I run the Midas Media blog network which publishes TheFashionPolice.net and Hey-Dollface.com

- When did you start blogging?
I’ve been blogging since around 2000: I started way back in the days when blogs were called “online journals” and were all coded by hand!

- Why did you start blogging? What does blogging give you in daily life?
I started blogging because I was working as a newspaper journalist at the time, and blogging seemed like a natural extension of that. What does it give me in daily life? Well, a lot of hard work, for a start, but also the opportunity to make a living writing about things I love, and to meet like-minded people.

Release your rock star

2008-03-27 by Katja dans What's hot... what's not

„Guitar Hero III“ is looking for the god of air guitar!

Is playing the air guitar really a form of art? In contrast to singing playback, playing air guitar solos is after all only about posing… sometimes very emotionally, sometimes full of temperament, always with the imaginary instrument in your (real) hands. Each actor on the imaginary stage wants to be the best – and not only during the annual air guitar world championships in Finland. Since the creation of the video game Guitar Hero the time for excuses is over! Your talent of playing the air guitar can now be measured. The game producer Activision has launched the ultimate Metal-Mane-Contest: forget your guitar controller – just grab a water bottle, a tennis racket, a broom stick, or simply use the air in front of you! Then rock as hard as you can in front of a camera. Afterwards you can upload your videos here where legend Lemmy will rate them.

Not only is it possible that you will be chosen to be one of the protagonists who feature in three video montages – the best air guitarist will also be invited to fly to the Neversoft Studios in California where he or she will be scanned three-dimensionally and become immortal on the virtual stage as the new god of rock Guitar Hero IV. Participation in this playful and most of all very cleverly constructed campaign which promises to be a lot of fun is definitely worth it. Keep on Rockin’!

Let out the rock star in you – here.

Help the honey bees!

2008-03-25 by Cordula dans What's hot... what's not

Did you know that honey bees were endangered? Now you might say: no, but who cares? Who needs these painful bee-stings in summer anyway? Well, you’re wrong there. Not about the bee-stings maybe, but we DO need honey bees. Not only do they produce honey (surprise!) but they also pollinate an amazing third of the food we eat! Without bees, no cherries, pears, raspberries, strawberries … and no Häagen-Dazs ice-cream, because the brand only uses natural flavours! What can we do to help the bees survive? Check out this beautifully animated minisite (gives you a taste of spring, too)!

An unusual online hearing test

2008-03-21 by Shu dans What's hot... what's not

hearing-test.jpgI bet you will agree with me that people are getting used to doing almost everything online nowadays, but did you know that you can even test your hearing ability on the web?

Now the Norwegian Red Cross has created a minisite that allows us to do so. It ’s a well-designed little website and it takes only 3 minutes to finish the test. If you have been staring at your computer screen for hours, then why not take a short break for your eyes, and switch your ears on?

Please do listen carefully and complete all the sections as required, it is not only for the accurate result but also for a surprise in the end. So just put on your headphone and give it a try yourself. It’s worth it - you’ll never guess the outcome!
