The File Destructor will save you

2008-02-22 by Alessandro dans What's hot... what's not

How many times have you had work to do, but didn’t want to do it? Hey, that’s the story of my life! Well now, there is a solution: With the file destructor 2.0, you will be able to get away with just about anything in regards to your boss and/or professor(s).

File destructor

The way that they describe their service: “Send trashed files and blame your faulty computer, instead of confessing that you are a lazy bum who just wants to play videogames.” How great is that?

Tip: I wouldn’t use it more than once or twice if I were you, they are bound to catch on if you do, and then you will really be in trouble.

Selina is our new Trendy BuzzAngel

2008-02-20 by Cédric dans Community

Winter is going on in Europe. Time to bring out some hot stuff! Time for our new Trendy BuzzAngel! For this February release, we have chosen Selina aka Flying Saucer, a blogger .

Selina - Trendy Buzz Angel

Selina is speaking

- How old are you?
18

- Where do you com from?
I’m from Birmingham, England, but I study in Manchester during term time.

- What do you do?
I’m a first year student studying Management and Marketing of Textiles.

- When did you start blogging?
In November 2006.

- Why did you start blogging? What does blogging give you in daily life?
What does blogging give you in daily life? I discovered other fashion blogs and though I had something to offer too. None of my friends were into fashion and I wanted to talk to people who were. So I started posting about runways, shopping and DIY projects and eventually found my style and what works. I usually take outfit pictures which can be quite hard when you share a mirror with 12 girls! The blog lets me discuss fashion topics with an open mind and receive honest feedback from like minded people all over the world . It inspires me and drives me to have a very low bank balance!

- Do you remember your first blog post?
I think it was when Lily Cole left a comment on my MySpace!

- Are you rather a «twitter» or a «powncer»?
Neither! I’ve let the blog sail along happily without too much networking or promotion. Maybe I should start?

- Twitter, Facebook, blogs, buzz, web 2.0… What do you think of all this? How do you see the evolution of the web?
I think soon everyone will have a blog, just like a Facebook! I think the Net is fabulous for networking and spreading ideas; it makes the world seem smaller. I love being able to talk to people I would never ever meet and find out lots of gossip from people I don’t even know!

Holding together, blogging together!

2008-02-15 by Shu dans What's hot... what's not

Since the coming 29th Olympic games are in Beijing, Chinese have been expressing high expectations on 2008. While at the beginning of 2008, when all the Chinese are happily preparing for Chinese lunar new year, the advent of a historical snow havoc in half a century in China was beyond everyone’s expectation.

Starting on the 10th of January 2008 until 6th of February 2008, a series of blizzard hit 17 central and southern provinces of China which never knew so extreme weather in winter.

What is worse, the blizzard fell during “Chunyun”, the busiest travelling period when dozens of millions of Chinese are struggling to reach their homes around Chinese lunar new year. Constant snows and freezing rains broke the electrical and transportation system, dozens of thousands of people were left stranded at railway stations, highways and airports.

China spared no efforts in combating the snow disaster, while blogs have emerged as one of the best UGC platforms to play an important role on broadcasting this special event.

Many Chinese BSPs (blog service provider) have set up special channels to expose those related posts together. The texts, pictures and videos created by bloggers were presenting the real scenes and stories in the snow-plagued spots and encouraging people to hold together and fight together against the disaster.

If you have no idea how severe this snow havoc was, here comes a user generated video with touching images and warm melody.
